Hello beauties! Are y'all ready for summer? :D

I know, I know, we all have been busy achieving that bodylicous so we can flaunt our gorgeousness this vacation! With that, I have the perfect piece for your "No Make-up" make-up look. Don't worry, this will be our little secret! ;)

Presenting, the latest hype that I got from our local teen stars, (Ha-ha!) the KJM Cosmetics' Lip and Cheek Tint!

Rating: 4.75/5

You guys might be expecting that I'll be applying this to my cheeks and lips as what the make-up suggests. Well, it fits perfectly with my lips, of course, that's why I'm posting a review. Unfortunately though, with my cheeks, I dunno. I tried. Ha-ha. Maybe it was because of my dry skin, the reason why the tint only formed a pinkish-reddish patch on my face. LOL.

So yes, this is more of a lip-swatch review.

And since I'm obvi not (yet) a hoarder and I just bought these babies to give it a try, I wasn't able to get all the shades. But  to give you, beauties, an idea, here are the swatches of KJM Cheek and Lip Tint.

These KJM Lip and Cheek Tint swatches are made by Karen Liz Escobar and the photos are grabbed from KJM All-Natural Cosmetics' Facebook page.

As I have checked the Instagram account of KJM Cosmetics, I looked onto the users who gave positive feedback and noticed that they've been combining shades on their lips and that most of them are combining the "Bloodshot" with "Bittersweet Magenta". I actually wanted to try it too, but I thought, they've already did it, so why don't I come up with my very own combi? Thus, the two pretty shades that are here: "Dolled" and "Bittersweet Magenta". Why those? Well, isn't it that pink and red are your first loves, too? ;)

Like how I usually make a review, I use the product for a week or more first before concluding that it works good for me. I want to give you the deets of their ingredients as I can say now that these beauties are pretty and harmless!

The picture below is the list of ingredients found in Dolled.

First of all, I'm no Chemist so I honestly don't understand the ingredients with color and number names, but aside from those, the main ingredients of these babies are: Aqua, Glycerin, Citric Acid, Erythrosine Red, Yellow 5, and less than 1/10 of 1%, and Propylyn Glycol.

Dolled

I've read that each shade has different ingredients, but I've noticed that these two have the same. So I did some research why is that, and I have concluded that maybe it's because they have the same tone--Red.

The picture below shows the ingredients found in Bittersweet Magenta.

Erythrosine Red is an organic compound that is cherry-red in color, and is ususally used in food coloring, thus, a reason to believe that it is safe. As a substitute to parebens which usually are the preservatives found in cosmetics, KJM used Citric Acid which is known to be a natural preservative, found in citrus fruits. Glycerin is probably the reason why the tint actually tastes sweet--it is a natural ingredient, a sugar alcohol, that can be used as a substitute to the other cosmetics' harmful alcohol chemicals. The Propylyn Glycol is also an organic compound that is used to enhance skin absorption, thus the reason why the lip tint can last long on your lips!

Bittersweet Magenta
Blended! This is how the two looks like on my lips, when applied together. I applied the Dolled first, then the Bittersweet Magenta afterwards. The change of color is not to much obvious, for as I have said, they both are Red tones. The benefits that I get when the two is blended is that, one, the color in between the pink and the red usually suits my skin tone more, and two, when both are applied, the formulation gets thicker and the tint lasts longer. :)

Yay:

*The pigment is fine, it can't be removed easily even after shower, can last 5-7 hours on me, considering that I eat every 2-3 hours. :)
*It looks pretty on mestiza skin, it can bring out your natural blush.
*The shades are morena-friendly.
*Best for natural look on the lips and cheek.
*Even if you have chapped lips, this will still be perfect for you!
*It forms a gradient effect that can somehow make your lips appear slim, but poppin'. ;)

Nay:

*For those who do not like a gradient effect, this will not suit you. If you purse your lips after applying (like how I usually do to dry the formulation on my lips), it kinda forms a darker color on the inside part of your lips and the outside part will have lighter shade, thus the gradient. Tho for me, I super loooove the gradient effect. :D

FAQs:

 *Where to buy?
I bought mine from a reseller that I know personally, Ate Leigh. You can reach her shop through Facebook or Instagram. Just click the social media name. ;) For provincial areas, you can look for some IG reseller's accounts in the comment box of KJM Cosmetic's main Instagram account. They usually state what province they are in when they comment to promote their shop.
*How much?
Ate Leigh gives one of the cheapest prices, which is P135 each only, and P50 shipping fee for Manila and Quezon City-based. I've heard that resellers have different prices. The prices range from P100-P150 each.

So that's it, beauties!
BTW, I also would like to apologize if I've kinda gone AWOL for the past two weeks. After the hell week from school, It was my birthday and the start of my frequent bonding with family and some friends. I promise to update more often next time. <3 I hope you guys enjoyed reading this and got inspired with the look, somehow! :) Looking forward to hearing from you soon! :*

xoxo with love, Arielle B.
